Oppo has today presented an exciting advance in smartphone user experience with its SmartSensor image stabilization and Super VOOC Flash Charge technologies at Mobile World Congress 2016.

Oppo Super VOOC Flash Charge can charge your phone in just 15 minutes

Super VOOC Flash Charge is an improvement on the original VOOC Flash Charge technology. The VOOC Flash Charge gave users 2 hours of talk after just 5 minutes of charging. Super VOOC takes it a step further, offering a full 10 hours of talk time in the same charging time, and filling a 2,500 mAh battery in only 15 minutes!

Super VOOC Flash Charge uses a 5 V low-voltage pulse-charge algorithm, which dynamically regulates the current to charge the phone in the shortest time possible as of today (we expect more such innovations in the future). The all-new algorithm pairs with a customized super battery, as well as a new adapter, cable and connector made using premium, military-grade materials. Super VOOC Flash Charge supports micro USB or Type-C interfaces.
Oppo has today launched its mid-range device, the Oppo F1. It is the first smartphone under the recently announced F series. It is termed as the 'selfie expert' due to its 8 MP front-facing camera sensor.

Oppo F1

The smartphone sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 series octa-core processor with 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 128 GB). The device is 4G enabled and also supports VoLTE.

The device sports a 13 MP rear camera with an ISOCELL sensor for reducing pixel noises. The camera also features phase detection autofocus (PDAF), delivering a focus time of just 0.1 second. The anti-shake optimization feature enables the camera to automatically select the clearest image from a huge buffer of image data the moment the shutter is pressed.

The device features an 8 MP front-facing camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture lens and a 1/4-inch sensor, allowing for 44% more light to enter the camera than an f/2.4 aperture lens. It also offers Beautify 3.0 feature, which removes blemishes, highlights the subject’s features and includes three different beautify modes along with eight filters. In low-light conditions, the patented Screen Flash feature comes to the rescue. It can capture selfies using hand gestures and spoken commands.

The device features chamfered edges. The back panel is made of aluminium alloy.

The device runs ColorOS 2.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The smartphone has a 5-inch display, and is 7.25 mm thick. It has a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection for the display.

Dirac Sound is applied on this device. It ensures high-fidelity, stereo sound output for both earphones and speakers.

The smartphone comes in two color options, viz. Golden and Rose Gold. It is priced at 15,990 ($235 approx.). The sale starts on 4th of the next month.

Another variant, named the Oppo F1 Plus, will launch in April this year. It features 4 GB RAM and 5.5-inch FHD display. It is priced at 26,990 ($400 approx.).

VOOC is an independently developed fast charging technology. Oppo has applied for 16 patents regarding its design and construction. While it takes a regular 1 A or 1.2 A battery charger on an average three hours to reach a 3,000 mAh full charge even in a best-case scenario, VOOC Flash Charge will boost the Oppo device's battery life to 75% in only 30 minutes. In addition to having increased the charging speed by four times, VOOC also boasts of an intelligent five-layer protection system. Presently, Oppo offers VOOC Flash Charge technology in Oppo Find 7, Oppo Find 7A and Oppo R5 handsets.
